CHRISTMAS PARTY AND ELECTION OF OFFICERS 2022
It’s Christmas time! As usual, SUAF celebrated Christmas with a lunch party, this time at Carmel Mountain Ranch Library on December 17, 2022.
SUAF provided three main dishes in addition to the food brought by the members. Present were: Laarni and Frank Gularek, Miriam and Don Cole, Gaya and Joel Simpkins, Precila and Allen Garrido, John and Cory Bandala, Lloyd and Clavel Limpiado, David and Jeanette Field, Priscilla and Efren Madrid, Alma Lavergne, Louella Dolar, Tessie Valenciano, and Reinhold Paniamogan. Our organization acquired new members: Gloria Valencia, Vanessa Bonner, Erna, and Paul Selzer- all were at the party.
After the sumptuous lunch, a brief meeting presided by Pres. Laarni Gularek was held. During this event, the amendments to the Bylaws were ratified, and the election of the new president was held. Laarni was nominated and asked to extend her term for another year, and she agreed. As per recent amendments in the Bylaws, the newly elected president appointed the other officers that the members duly accepted.
The Officers for 2023 are Laarni Gularek (pres.), Prescy Garrido (vice pres.), Miriam Tan Cole (secretary), David Field (treasurer), and John Bandala (auditor). The committees from last year will be maintained except the Election Committee, which Lloyd Limpiado and Allen Garrido now co-chair.
After the meeting, Christmas carols were sung, followed by games led by Priscilla Madrid and Louella Dolar.
