Automated External Defibrillator (AED) Donation
Looking after our health would be the main concern of a nurse leader. So, when Dinah Bilbaoco Peñaflorida became president of SUAFSD, she facilitated the donation of an AED to Silliman.
The device was donated through the office of the Vice President for Development and was hand-carried by Dinah to Silliman in 2017. Dinah also arranged for Steve and Kit Calunsod Hadwiger, both associate professor of nursing at Truman State University in Missouri, to train SU staff how to use the AED. The funds for the AED purchase was raised by SUAFSD’s raffle project led by Amy Buluran.
