SUAFSD’S 25th ANNIVERSARY
– An Evening of Honor and Glamour –
To quote President Malayang, “To give birth to an organization is a success. Sustaining it for 25 years is a milestone.” All of us at SUAFSD agree with that. So, on February 25, 2018, the members celebrated the Organization’s 25th Anniversary at the Royal Banquet on Miramar Road, San Diego.
The event was attended by more than 150 members, friends, and guests. Central to the Celebration was honoring the founding members, past presidents, officers, and members who have unselfishly volunteered countless hours and resources to help sustain the Organization. It also celebrated friendships that were forged through various events and fellowships. There was plenty of food and a lot of dancing!
To further commemorate this milestone was the production of a historical souvenir book that featured the founding members, past presidents, and officers and the events and projects that took place under each president’s term. The idea of John Olivar inspired the souvenir book; Nathaniel Tan led the production with assistance from Fely Narvaez, Miriam Tan-Cole, John Olivar, and Louella Dolar. The souvenir book, Journey in Time, was distributed to the members during the evening of the Celebration.
